"Glue of..."

© 2009 (Rough Draft)

Here comes the rain again.
Anymore water and you'll need some fins.
Unless you can teach a car to swim.
Window wiper flies off, patience wore thin.
Hot rod in the fast lane flew right past him.
So quick, no time to turn his chin.
With lightening speed, it made his head spin.
Leaves didn't stand a chance as the bullet cut thru wind.
Leaving a palm tree naked with nothing on its limbs.
The roar of its engine caused its thin trunk to bend.
With it's tires so clean & shiny silver rims.
Yellow flames painted just above the black trim.
The motor had muscle you'd only find in a gym.
Even if it raced Nascar, it would surely win.
Built by a German in West Berlin.
Heated seats under the tan leather skin.
Ten horses built into its turbo engine.
Stronger than the taste of a tonic and gin.
And, carrying the likes of those identical twins.
You've seen the ones, greed and sin.
But that didn't stop the man with a sore shin.
He'd already kicked his flat tire before the storm moved in.
Literally, his convertible was over the age of ten.
And it leaks from the front to the back end.
Causing more upsidedown grins than a baby in depins.
Why in hades could'nt someone rich be kin?
Donut for a tire, steering wheel feels bent.
A mildew odor beginning to set in.
And that burning smell was such an aweful scent.
Big billboard on side of road read "Foreign car mall just around the bin."
But he was taught to buy only if American.
Was it finally time to trade in junk & take a hint?
Or was the devil behind the large sign that gets u to buy with emotion?
A quick fix, a poisonous lotion.
To your soul like a magical potion.
Filling your mind with a lot of commotion.
Pride says "You did just get a large promotion."
Greed adds "picture yourself driving along the Ocean."
Sun shining bright, styling with loco motion,
til' you remember Malachi 3:6, your morning devotion.
& the road seemed to go only one way.
But the moron took the exit anyways.
Stomping the gas, Should've seen his face.
While trying to brace, the air bag inflates
Through high grass & a couple barracades.
Coming to a stop without touching the brakes
Glue holding up the window, already made the trade.
A hand held out waiting for the closing shake.
Pen in the other as the contract awaits.
Devil on one shoulder wants you to take the bait.
But, the angel on the other says, "it's a mistake."
Think of food you're taking off a spoiled childs plate.
High payment per month and angry face of your mate.
Sign that paper, you'll be looking for a different date.
Envy in hearts will cause others to hate.
Wouldn't u take some time before a prelim.
The angel cont's "Put down the ink & learn a lesson."
"Ask these questions before you begin."
"Did this all happen on a whim?
Do I just want this, every now and then?
Do we only sound good together like, Jen and Ben?
Am I trying to please myself or only my friends?
"What would God do?" As HE spoke just then.
Even before the man had counted to ten.
Like the star who spoke to the wise men.
But thru an invisible cloud, was it a vision?
Stood an old beat up stick shift station wagon.
Like the 1 he drove & his grandpa's driven.
Not something you'll see at a mercedes benz
But had alot of room, great for the drive-in.
The man gets side tracked again & again
As the cloud continued to ask questions from within.
"What do we do to a fat and juicy hen?
The answer obvious, we dip it in oil and fry up its skin.
And to a large salmon we catch in a river's bed
Broil over rice and throw away its useless fins.
A duck on the pond, shoot and cut off its wings.
Like a bee that dies after it loses its sting.
A bull by the horns, they pull out its nose ring.
You want this and that, you want everything.
It's almost as if we now want to be king.
The vision faded, but all eyes looked to see.
"To who in Hades does that crazy man speak"?
Like the village idiot sitting on a pole, faces made of teak.
The car salesman was even a little bit freaked.
But Red was now the color of his cheaks.
Situation had switched and lost its mystique.
Not another pity party, " no ones ever killed a fat calf for me."
Drinking stale coffee, sip after sip.
Mans mind spinning, while wheels in head hit a large dip.
Chunk out of shoulder, holding exact same size chip.
Filling with glue, was this a quick fix?
Or is there really anything wrong with his ancient ship.
Keeps him afloat from a to b, so what if it's not very hip.
It does hop up & down when the stop light is lit.
Just not as KOOL as those wacky cars pimped.
Or drive smooth as a F150 with chaw in their lips.
It is paid off, The new cars a jip.
Who cares if the ragtop has a small rip.
The devil crawls under the front to back seat.
Pouts like a child, but accepts his defeat.
Before the bud blooms, his dark wings were clipped.
Like the women who try to tuck in their skin before nipped.
Flesh is the world, rotating out of control and finally flips.
No warning from a tornado when its furious tail whips.
Only calmness before, silent signs missed.
Judas gave the fatal blow thru a similar kiss.
Death embraced while demons anxiously hissed.
Hell broke out, but HIS FATHER ended it quick.
Like the doctors needle, or ROSE thorns that prick
A child throws a fit before it even sticks,
No dumb devil could come close to outwit,
The creator of the heavens on a throne where HE sits.
Looking down on us all, watched his SON fall to the pit
1st Peter 3:19-22 says "But He still witnessed
To the suffering souls during Noah's time untold
That drowned in the flood, bound for the abyss"
But through the blood that dripped from his head
Life was given to our hearts in our chest
To give unto others & give it our best
Wave a white flag when its time to confess
And sin will be seperated as far as the east is from west
Take a knee, make a prayer request
For the little one's, without any regrets
That they be comforted & heavenly blessed
For the poor to be helpless no more
Souls on death bed to hear the strike of his chord
Music with meaning, during a heavy downpour
Singing it's swan song, beautiful in form
Like the glue on the car window that kept him dry from the storm.
Sealed forever, it was the "glue of the Lord."
